Alan: Hello welcome to the Dorset chairman, Wimborne, Dorset. My name is Alan, I am the Dorset Chairman.
What we’re going to be looking at over the weeks, months and years are a series of videos to enable you to produce a piece of furniture. I’ll explain more about that in a moment.
Just before we go inside though let me tell you what’s behind me, the Riverside Café, Wimborne does what I think is the best full English breakfast in the country, by far. Come on inside.
Now as I said outside were going to be producing a series of videos for you on how to upholster different things, different pieces of furniture. What I would like to talk about first is actually what I have seen on YouTube so far and, regarding upholstery, there is a lot of good videos out there and some of them outstanding, but we want do to them a little bit differently. We’re going to produce a series of videos for you one of which will enable you to make a footstall, nice and plain, just to start with, just to give you a taste on what upholstery is about. You’ll be able to purchase a gift from our website which I will explain in our first video following this one. We’re also going to make a deep button foot stool similar to this one over here which Owen who is holding the camera is now going to show you, there we are. Got that Owen?

Alan: Marvellous, now let’s crack on. We are going to be making a headboard (we’re providing the kit for you for that as well) and for you prospecting grandparents out there or even if mums and dads if you want to chart a chair for your child that is going to become heirloom in years to come, we’ll also produce a child’s chair kit for you and on top of that we’re going to be getting really adventurous in the near future and we’re going to produce a wooden kit for you as well. OK, come on Chris keep up that’s it good man.
Alan: What we’re asking you to do is to subscribe to the channel, OK, and there you’ll be able to find all the information about where you can buy the kits i.e. from our website etc. yeah but also we are going to be running a section on question and answers. And how to get over those niggling little problems. If you’re doing upholstery already maybe you’re doing a class or a diploma somewhere but you keep coming across the same problem.
